The following people appeared recently for sentencing in Washington County Court.

Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:

Tina D. Brown, 33, of 523 Ohio River Boulevard, Pittsburgh; DUI; charged June 18, 2012; sentence – 48 hours to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, 12-month license suspension.

Appearing before Judge Katherine Emery were:

Carla A. Swoger, 47, of 760 Michigan Ave., Washington; second offense of DUI; charged Aug. 19, 2012; sentence – 6 to 23 months on home monitoring with the first 90 days on SCRAM with work release, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension.

Bryon M. Berdine, 29, of 33 Homestead Drive, Avella; second offense of DUI; charged Nov. 2, 2012; sentence – 10 days to 6 months on home monitoring with work release, $300 fine, 12-month license suspension.

Paul J. Balint IV, 18, of 636 Old Morganza Road, Canonsburg; DUI, driving without a license; charged June 24; sentence – 10 days to 6 months on home monitoring with work release, $700 fine.

Jennifer M. Crabb, 27, of 14 Lavonne Ave., Charleroi; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged May 15; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months.

Charles R. Thurmond Jr., 33, of 135 Union Street, Lot 13, New Eagle; public drunkenness; charged June 2; sentence – $300 fine.

Chivar D. Brown, no age listed, 235 W. Chestnut St., Apt. 813, Washington; simple assault; charged Feb. 26; sentence – 23 months of probation.

Fred R. Clark III, 48, of P.O. Box 533, Charleroi; retail theft; charged April 29; sentence – 6 months of probation, no contact with Giant Eagle.

Michael R. Lowe, 22, of 13 Wood St., Avella; two counts of burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary; charged Oct. 21 and Nov. 20, 2012; sentence – 90 days to 23 months in jail with the first 90 days on home monitoring, 12 months of probation, no contact with victims, $4,183.47 restitution.

Appearing before Judge Edward Borkowski were:

Jayla R. Barnett, 27, of 1816 Woodward Ave., Pittsburgh; retail theft; charged Aug. 15; sentence – 12 months of probation, no contact with TJMaxx.

Philip Renko, 49, of 450 Pike St., Meadow Lands; criminal mischief; charged Aug. 10; sentence – 12 months of probation, $200 restitution, no contact with victim.

Jean-Henri Yandel, 34, of 130 E. Spruce St., Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged July 3; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Nathan D. Schneider, 31, of 5 Christy Lane, Washington; resisting arrest, disorderly conduct; charged July 30; sentence – 12 months of probation, $300 fine.

Derek A. Dernosek, 27, of 3682 Washington Pike, Bridgeville; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Dec. 22; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Admitted to the ARD program for 6 months for first offenses of DUI by Emery were:

Jena K. Stathers, 29, of 715 Ridge St., California; Daniel A. Roach, 25, of 309 Pleasant Valley Road, Bulger.
