NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A recently retired professor from Penn State’s campus in Abington is facing several charges after investigators say he exchanged nude photos and lewd emails with a 16-year old girl in Spain.

Sixty-five-year-old Stephen Stace of Upper Dublin Township is charged with possession of child pornography, corruption of minors and related counts.

Montgomery County prosecutor Jordan Friter said the retired music professor sent nude photos of himself to the girl over the course of about nine months and the two exchanged sexually explicit emails.

Investigators said Stace used his Penn State email address to request and receive nude photos from the girl.

A message left for Stace’s attorney Friday was not immediately returned.

Stace was arraigned Thursday and released on bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 21.
