A Canonsburg woman found herself in Washington County jail early Sunday after she was arrested by borough police who received not one but three complaints about her in less than three hours.

Brenda Yahweh-Watson, 49, of 628 Euclid Ave., was taken into custody about 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Franklin Avenue after police received a report of a fight in the area.

Police said they found her on the porch at 623 Franklin Ave., trying to bang on a door. Neighbors told police she was wandering through yards and an alley, drinking alcohol.

The first police contact with her occurred about 8:45 p.m. when officers were called to her home for a report of a loud fight. Police said Yahweh-Watson was intoxicated and loudly using obscene language. They said she started yelling about her brother, Richard Lacks, 47, also of 628 Euclid, who was found lying on a couch inside the house.

Police said they initially took her into custody but released her after she quieted down and promised to behave the rest of the night.

An hour later, police were again called to her home. This time, they said they found Yahweh-Watson drinking on the porch and talking loudly with two men. Police told her to quiet down and go inside.

Yahweh-Watson was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo on charges of loitering and prowling at night, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. She was placed in Washington County jail on a $1,500 percentage bond.

Police would be called yet again to her home, although she was no longer present. Officers received a call about 2:15 a.m. Sunday regarding a report of an argument in the area of 628 Euclid.

When they arrived, police said they found her brother outside the home, extremely intoxicated and barely able to stand. They said they also found several cans of partially consumed beer. Police dumped the beer and sent Lacks inside the house. Police said he will be charged with public drunkenness.
