ALLENTOWN (AP) – A northeastern Pennsylvania man will spend up to a decade behind bars for a fatal shooting outside a nightclub in April 2012.

The (Easton) Express-Times said 39-year-old Amos Muir of Wilkes-Barre pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter Monday, admitting he shot 33-year-old Teddy Bell to death from the backseat of a car during an altercation in parking lot of Club Horizon in Allentown.

Muir said he shot fired through the car window when Bell mistook him for someone he quarreled with inside the club and attacked the car along with several other men.

Authorities had charged Muir with homicide but it was reduced to voluntary manslaughter as part of a plea agreement.

Muir is scheduled to be formally sentenced Nov. 15.
