California police have charged six men in connection with an incident in August at McMonagle’s in which more than $1,600 in damage was done to the property.

Police said John M. Abercrombie, 20, of Ambler and Michael Price, 23, of Chesapeake, Va., allegedly helped Paul Butler, 20, of Reynoldsville, Richard Gould, 18, of Monroe, Ohio, Colin Reese, 19, of Beaver and Chaz Veal, 20, of Cleveland, Ohio, over the fence at rear of the bar Aug. 24. The fence was then damaged.

Police said they were trying to circumvent the doorman working the front door who was checking identification to make sure the patrons were of legal age.

Abercrombie is charged with inducement of minors to buy alcoholic beverages, misrepresentation of age to purchase alcohol, criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy. Price is charged with inducement of minors to buy alcohol, criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy. Butler, Gould, Reese and Veal are each charged with criminal mischief and misrepresentation of age to buy alcohol.

Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
