CARMICHAELS – Flenniken Public Library in Carmichaels is currently looking for volunteers to be on the library’s board of directors, and for its community garden.
The board looks to the future and promotes the mission of the library in the community. It also ensures that there is enough funding to support the mission of the library and sets policies. The usual meeting is once a month, but there can be special events.
The library also is looking for volunteers of all ages to help plan the community garden for next year. The community garden gives the community a place to grow food and learn about different plants. All meetings will be held at the library.
Volunteering can lead to a more fulfilling life, and is fun, too. If interested in any of the above positions, call the library at 724-966-5263 for more details.
Renew books, place holds and do research 24/7 on the library’s website: www.flenniken.org.
