UPPER CHICHESTER (AP) – Police say a postgame fight between two youth football coaches ended with one coach being arrested and another with a broken jaw.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports that the coach of a team from Claymont, Del., has been charged with aggravated assault and other charges for allegedly hitting the coach of the opposing Chichester, Pa., team during an argument after a game last weekend.

Citing court documents, the newspaper reports that 42-year-old Lawrence Simpson, coach of the Claymont Falcons, allegedly struck Chichester Crusaders coach Lamar Shaw and broke his jaw.

It wasn’t clear what the coaches were arguing about.

Simpson surrendered to police Thursday. He is due back in court Tuesday. Information on Simpson’s attorney was not immediately available.
