HARRISBURG (AP) – Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley will be staying in a hospital and undergoing additional tests after he felt light-headed while presiding over a state Senate session.

Cawley’s spokesman Chad Saylor said Monday evening that Cawley will be staying in Harrisburg Hospital into Tuesday. He says Cawley feels fine and is anxious to get back to work.

On Monday, a Capitol nurse examined Cawley after he fell ill and sent him to the hospital.

After becoming lightheaded about 3 p.m., Cawley left the Senate rostrum and went to an adjoining room of the Senate chamber.
