Two sentenced on DUI charges in court

WAYNESBURG – Two people were sentenced in Greene County Court last week on driving under the influence of alcohol charges.

Juanita Marie Martin, 36, of 162 Martin Lane, Waynesburg, pleaded guilty June 12 to a second offense of DUI in a 10-year period, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and a summary traffic violation. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.0138 percent.

Martin was sentenced Friday to serve 5 years in the Greene County Intermediate Punishment Program, ordered to pay $2,275 in fines plus court costs and fees and to perform 250 hours of community service.

David Ray Wilson, Jr., 35, of 303 E. South St., Jefferson, pleaded guilty to a second offense of DUI in a 10-year period and disorderly conduct. Wilson was arrested March 30 when police stopped him for speeding on Foch Circle in Nemacolin. His blood-alcohol content was 0.0158 percent. Wilson was sentenced to 30 days to 6 months in jail to be served on weekends. He is ordered to pay fines of $1,200 plus court costs and fees and to perform 50 hours of community service.
