Angela Carrier, the Republican candidate for Washington County controller in the Nov. 5 election, was found guilty of a summary offense of harassment following a hearing Tuesday before District Judge James Ellis.

Carrier, of McMurray, was charged following an incident with Elizabeth Carrier, wife of her former husband, Todd Carrier, involving the custody of their children. During a previous hearing before Ellis, Angela and Elizabeth Carrier were told of Ellis’ “90-day be good” rule. If there were no additional incidents within 90 days, the charge would be dropped.

However, an Oct. 3 incident involving Angela Carrier’s daughter and a small dog in the yard of Elizabeth and Todd Carrier’s Sutherland Drive home resulted in police being called and Ellis scheduled another hearing on the original charge. After hearing testimony, Ellis found Carrier guilty of the summary harassment charge. She was fined $100.
