FOREST CITY (AP) – A toddler who disappeared from his northeastern Pennsylvania home was found dead in a neighbor’s swimming pool.

Two-year-old Holden Wayman was reported missing around 7 p.m. Monday from his home in Vandling, Lackawanna County, and was discovered submerged in a swimming pool across the street soon afterward.

Paramedics took the toddler to Geisinger-Community Medical Center in Scranton, where attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

County Coroner Tim Rowland said Holden’s death has been ruled an accidental drowning.

The Forest City Police Department and the state police forensics unit are investigating.
