Workers seen this week in the Tylerdale area of Washington near the ramps to Interstate 70 have been counting vehicles near the highway as part of a traffic study for the state Department of Transportation.

Washington police Chief Chris Luppino, who received calls about the workers, said they are from a consulting firm hired by the state to count the vehicles near the off-ramps of the highway.
