Greensboro Borough will dedicate a new flag pole at Gazebo Park at 7 p.m. today. The pole will be dedicated in honor of Bill and Violet Kovach. Mary Shine, borough council president, friends and family will speak. The ceremony also will include background on the flag pole project, a presentation of the colors by the Greensboro VFW Post, the raising of the flag, singing of the national anthem and the pledge of allegiance.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served election day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Center Township Fire Hall. The fire company auxiliary will serve food from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Breakfast will include sausage, gravy and biscuits; lunch will include hot dogs, sloppy joes, ham barbecue sandwiches, homemade soup, cabbage and noodles, desserts and drinks and dinner will include creamed chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, dessert and drinks. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger.
