A firefighter’s jamboree, featuring food and live music, will be held Saturday at the Center Township Fire Hall in Rogersville to raise money for the fire company. Performing will be Dave Clark, Bob Podish and Elvis tribute artist Dave Townsend. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., an open mic will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Admission for ages 14 and older is $5.

Waynesburg Social Service League will hold its annual Holiday Extravaganza craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Waynesburg Central Elementary School. The event helps the Social Service League raise money to help children in Central Greene School District. The show is free and perfect for those looking for a Christmas gift or for just a few hours to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of good crafts and food.

The Waynesburg Community Center is taking orders for cookie trays to be ready in time for Thanksgiving. The center is taking orders through Nov. 11. Delivery will be Nov. 25. Call the center at 724-627-6366 to place an order. The cost is $20.

The Waynesburg Community Center is accepting quilt tops to be quilted. Anyone with a quilt top who would like the work done can call 724-627-6366.

The Waynesburg Travelers are going to Mackinac Island next June and still have seats available on the second bus. The cost is $685 a person, double occupancy and covers insurance, bus driver’s tip and tour guides. For information, call Betty Grove at 724-627-8832.

Election Day lunch, dinner and craft and baked goods sale will be held at the Spraggs United Methodist Church Tuesday. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m and dinner beginning at 5 p.m. The lunch menu will include chicken, hot sausage, ham barbecue and sloppy joe sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, hobo beans, homemade noodles, vegetable soup, desserts and beverages. Items will be individually priced. Dinner will be baked steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, dessert and beverage. The price is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children under age 6.

The Rogersville United Methodist Church will hold a Veterans Day program during its 11:15 a.m. worship service Sunday, Nov. 10. Readings will be presented and all veterans present will be recognized. Everyone is welcome to attend.
