MONTROSE (AP) – A father and son in northeastern Pennsylvania have pleaded guilty to charges in connection with the deadly shooting of a woman who was the wife and mother of the men.

Fifty-two-year-old Donald Glover Sr. pleaded guilty Wednesday in Susquehanna County Court to third-degree murder in the death of his estranged wife in August 2012. Prosecutors said he shot 46-year-old Sharon Glover in the back of the head during an argument.

His 28-year-old son, Donald Glover Jr., pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of tampering with evidence for putting a gun in his dead mother’s hand to make it look like self-defense.

Police say the son came clean within hours of giving a false story to investigators.

Father and son will be sentenced later this month.
