BETHLEHEM (AP) – A worker at the eastern Pennsylvania plant that makes marshmallow Peeps and other candy has been injured after falling onto a conveyor belt.

The Express-Times said an official at the Just Born plant in Bethlehem confirmed the Wednesday morning incident.

Cindy Glick, corporate affairs manager at the candy company, confirmed a worker hurt her leg but she didn’t know the extent of the injuries. The employee’s name was not released.

Bethlehem firefighters said the injury was believed to not be life-threatening.

An internal company investigation and a probe by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are underway.

Just Born also manufactures Mike and Ike, Hot Tamales and Zours in its Bethlehem facility.
