WHEELING, W.Va. – Wheeling police say they’re following every lead they get in the hunt for a third and possibly fourth suspect in the fatal beating of a Wheeling Jesuit University student.

Sgt. Gregg McKenzie said Thursday he has only vague descriptions for the men: They were white and wore ball caps.

Twenty-one-year old Kevin Figaniak of Perkasie, Pa., died Sunday after an attack in Wheeling.

Police charged 22-year-old Craig Peacock of Clewiston, Fla., and 24-year-old Jarrett Chandler of Winnfield, La., with murder. They’re jailed on $1 million bond, set to appear in magistrate court Sept. 12.

The suspects worked in the gas industry, and McKenzie says it’s possible that so did the unidentified suspects.

Those workers tend to be mobile, and McKenzie says it’s also possible they’ve left the area.
