Three killed in Mercer Co. crash

DEER CREEK TOWNSHIP (AP) — Police say three people have been killed in a two-vehicle accident in Mercer County.

State police say a car heading south on State Highway 79 in Deer Creek Township, crossed the median about 5:40 p.m. Friday and hit a car heading north. The northbound car went over a guard rail and landed on its side.

Police say the driver of the southbound car, 62-year-old Robert J. Neubert II of Amherst, N.Y., was killed. They identified the others killed in the accident as 54-year-old Susan L. Thomas, the driver of the northbound car, and 44-year-old passenger Mary G. Carmody, both from Sewickley.
