Home damaged: Branden Carey of 101 Main St., Bentleyville, told Southwest Regional police Friday that his home was entered and ransacked. Furniture was destroyed and a 32-inch flat-screen television and laptop computer were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Assault, theft charges: Andrew A. Bonus, 28, of 14 E. Water St., Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police with simple assault, unauthorized use of a vehicle, harassment, criminal mischief and theft. He is accused of assaulting Jessica Lacock, 34, also of 14 E. Water, as he drove her vehicle on South Central Avenue Saturday. She jumped out of the vehicle and went to a neighbor to call police. He allegedly took her vehicle without permission. The vehicle was later found. She also told police that he broke two cellphones. The charges will be filed at the office of District Judge David Mark.

Purse stolen: Ashley Turner of 513 Valley View Terrace told Canonsburg police Saturday that her purse containing $300, her children’s medical and Social Security cards and her Access card were stolen from her home.

Pedestrian injured: Erik McAdams, 42, of 1252 McAdams Road, Washington, was injured Friday when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Laura Lapaglia of 116 Skyview Drive, Canonsburg, as he crossed the road at Adams Avenue and Morganza Road. He was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment.

Two charged: Dottie Jane Johnson, 49, of 335 Ridge Ave., Canonsburg, and Ronald G. Johnson, 29, of 7 Campbell St., Avella, were charged Tuesday by Cecil police stemming from an Aug. 28 incident at the home of Mary Plumley of 3927 Millers Run Road. She is charged with burglary and theft for allegedly stealing money. He is charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly possessing a stolen dirt bike. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Charged in assault: Timothy Harding, 53, of 5 Langer Drive, Lawrence, and Lucinda A. Harding, 49, of 144 Brownlee Road, Eighty Four, were charged Tuesday by Cecil police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from a Sept. 1 confrontation at his home. The two are accused of assaulting each other. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.

Theft of gun: Karry Wieble of 3 Manorcrest Drive told police his fishing vest and .45-calber derringer are missing from his fishing bag, township police said. He last saw the vest and gun July 31 and noticed both were missing Sept. 6. It is unknown when or where the items went missing or were stolen. Together, they are valued at $450, police said. Wiebel told police he used the gun if he encountered snakes while he was fishing.

Drug, loitering charges: Corey Cameron, 29, of 4 McBride Road, North Strabane Township, was arrested early Saturday by Chartiers police after a resident in the 200 block of Valley Road allegedly was awakened by him banging on their door looking for “Alicia.” Police said he was in possession of suspected cocaine, and a handgun was found next to his vehicle, which was parked in the 100 block of Valley. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of possession of cocaine and loitering and prowling at night. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Heroin, other charges: Troy Jericho, 25, of 83 Thompson Ave., Donora, was arrested Sunday by Donora police on charges of possession of heroin and flight to avoid apprehension after police received a tip that he was using the drug at 80 Thompson Ave. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Assault, harassment charges: Joseph D. Ring, 36, of 404 N. Alexander St., Monongahela, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police on charges he hit Nikki Santo in the head, knocking her to the floor. He then allegedly kicked her. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was released from Washington County Jail after posting $10,000 bond.

Money stolen: Elizabeth Hoffman of McMurray told North Strabane police Saturday morning that a large amount of money she had just won in a jackpot at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino was stolen from her purse while she was staying at the Hampton Inn, 475 Johnson Road. She had gone to the room with two friends, a man and a woman. The woman left and the man stayed, leaving in the middle of the night. When Hoffman woke up, she discovered the money had been stolen from her purse. Police are reviewing surveillance tapes.

Three hurt: Michael G. McLaughlin, 50, of 116 Trotwood Drive, Canonsburg, is facing a charge of driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash in which he and two others were injured. North Strabane police said a vehicle driven by Lisa Watts, 48, of 179 Dodd Drive, South Strabane Township, was stopped in the left southbound lane of Route 19 at Linden Road about 6 p.m. Friday when the back of her vehicle was hit by McLaughlin’s vehicle. McLaughlin and two passengers in Watts’ vehicle, Timothy Watts, 49, and Tilisa Watts, 17, were injured.

Money taken in con: North Strabane police said $140 was stolen from McDonald’s, 253 Meadowlands Boulevard, during a quick-change con Saturday. The thief is described as a black man, 40 to 50 years old, 5-foot-9 and weighing 200 pounds. He wore a gray, short-sleeved sweatshirt.

Theft, endangerment charges: Craig D. Koteles, 33, of 6231 Route 88, Finleyville, was charged Friday by North Strabane police with theft, simple assault, reckless endangerment and reckless driving after he allegedly stole scrap metal from Ametek, 1085 Route 519. He also allegedly struck an employee with his vehicle after he was confronted and was fleeing the parking lot. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

DUI charge: Joy D. Parr, 45, of 119 Lockhart St., East Washington, was charged Friday by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a July 20 traffic stop on Route 19. Police had been alerted to look for her vehicle after she reportedly struck the Wendy’s restaurant in Peters Township. Police said her blood-alcohol content was more than three times the 0.08 percent limit. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Juvenile possession charges: While on patrol at 9:36 p.m. Saturday, a township officer found two 16-year-old boys in a car parked in the cul-de-sac of the parking lot at Rees Park in Venetia. The officer found the boys were in possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana. Juvenile allegations of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia will be filed against both, police said. The boys were released to their parents.

One-vehicle accident: Robert J. Woodkee was taken to St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, following a one-vehicle accident at 5:45 a.m. Monday in the 110 block of Froebe Road that occurred when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, crossed to the northbound lanes and traveled into the woods, township police said. Woodke, 56, of 6535 Library Road, South Park, was alone in the vehicle. St. Clair Hospital does not release patient conditions.

Two charged: James J. Young, 40, of 137 Sunset Drive, Washington, and Tanya L. Williams, 41, of 305 Third St., Washington, were charged Friday by South Strabane police with theft by deception and conspiracy for allegedly sstealing a blender from Walmart, Trnity Point, on Sept. 1, and returning it for a $136.74 gift card. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft charges: Cora J. Franell, 36, of 495 Duncan Ave., Washington, and Sean M. Hobberchalk, 37, of 120 Karen Drive, Canton Township, both face charges filed by state police for the alleged use of checks stolen from his mother, Mary Lee Hartman, in July. Franell was arraigned Friday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of forgery, theft, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and identity theft for allegedly using the checks at Walmart, Trinity Point. She was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond. Hobberchalk, who is in jail on a bench warrant, will be arraigned today by video before Weller on charges of theft, theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

Assault, theft charges: Cleotis E. Russell Jr., 30, of 906 Pike Run Drive, Coal Center, was arrested Saturday by state police after he allegedly forced his way into the home of Patti Jo Bahl at 365 Courtney Hill Road, Union. He is accused of stealing $1,000 and assaulting her. Russell was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of aggravated assault, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.

Cow hit: Edward R. Walsh, 58, of 81 McChain Road, Union, injured his arm Thursday night when his vehicle struck a cow that was in the 4200 block of Finleyville-Elrama Road, Union, Southwest Regional police said. Police said the cow, which was killed, was owned by George Powell of 4297 Finleyville-Elrama and had escaped from its pasture. Assisting were Elrama firefighters.

Faces drug charges: Brian Frank Barwell, 48, of 227 Pleasantview Drive, Union, will be charged by Southwest Regional police with possession with intent to deliver heroin after 72 stamp bags of the suspected drug allegedly were found in his home when police were assisting adult probation on serving a warrant Aug. 28. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge James Ellis.

False reports charges: Cayla Camerson, 21, of 21 E. Pitt St., Canonsburg, was arrested Thursday by Washington police on charges of false reports and hindering apprehension. She is accused of lying to police about transporting drugs from Canonsburg to Washington. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Assault charge: Jessica Caler, 25, of 15 N. Main St., Washington, was charged Monday with aggravated assault for allegedly hitting John Lowe Sr. in the head during a July 20 confrontation, Washington police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Faces two charges: Darnell W. Howell Jr., 22, of 1090 Michigan Ave., Washington, was arrested by Washington police Saturday after he allegedly failed to stay out of Maple Terrace after he was removed from the property on two occasions last month. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of defiant trespass and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 percentage bond. He also was charged by Washington police with exposing himself Aug. 28 at Washington Wireless, 1052 Jefferson Ave. Police charged him with resisting arrest, open lewdness and disorderly conduct.
