EASTON (AP) – The attorney representing the Pennsylvania woman accused of killing her newborn in a sports bar bathroom is requesting another autopsy of the baby.

The Express-Times said the request was filed by public defender Michael Corriere.

Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli told the newspaper on Wednesday that he would not oppose a motion seeking to allow 26-year-old Amanda Catherine Hein’s defense team for another autopsy.

Hein is being held without bail on one count of criminal homicide.

A cleaning crew found the baby’s body in a toilet tank on Aug. 19 at Starters Pub in Bethlehem, about 30 miles north of Philadelphia. An autopsy by the county coroner concluded the baby was born alive.

A call to Corriere was not immediately returned.
