Church burglarized: State police reported someone entered The ACT Shop at the First Methodist Church, Carmichaels, between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 1 and 10:30 p.m. Sept. 2 and stole an undetermined amount of cash.

Man cited: Joshua Patton, 28, of Aleppo, was cited for harassment following an incident Aug. 23 on Oak Forest Road. Patton was charged with striking an unidentified person in the neck and head.

Items stolen: State police reported that between July 19 and Aug. 10 someone entered a residence on Third Street and stole two laptops, a scanner and $250. The name of the victim was not released.

Car hits deer: David Renner, 33, of Spraggs, told state police that while he was traveling south on Route 19 (Mt. Morris Road) at 11:25 p.m. Sept. 4, his car struck a deer. Neither Renner nor a passenger, Travis McCord, 28, of Mt. Morris, was injured.

Two-vehicle accident: The drivers involved in a two-vehicle accident shortly after midnight Sept. 6 escaped injury, state police said. Police said James Hopkins, 20, of Fairview, W.Va., driving an International Harvester baler was following a Ford pickup truck driven by Devan Wright, 22, also of Fairview, on Route 3006 when Wright stopped to allow a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction to cross a one-lane bridge. Police said the baler lost its brakes as it aproached Wright, striking the pickup in the rear and forcing its over an embankment where it rolled over and came to rest in a small stream. Police said both operators were wearing seatbelts.

Theft: A radar detector was stolen from a 2011 Jeep Patriot parked in a private parking lot on Cheery Alley between Friday and Monday, Waynesburg police said. The vehicle is owned by Robert Leretsis of Waynesburg. The passenger side front window was broken to gain entry to the vehicle.
