Three people were injured, including one who had to be flown to a Pittsburgh hospital, following a two-car crash Thursday night on Route 22 in Robinson Township, state police said.

Troopers at the Moon Township barracks said they responded to the crash in the eastbound lanes near the Bavington exit shortly before 7 p.m.

One person was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital, police said, although his injuries were not expected to be life-threatening.

Police closed down the eastbound lanes briefly while investigating the crash.
