A Washington man wanted on five warrants stemming from alleged incidents last year, including selling marijuana to an undercover state trooper, was arraigned on the charges Wednesday.

Mark Allan McMillan, 21, of Buena Vista Street, was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on four counts each of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana and one count each of receiving stolen property and person not to possess a firearm.

McMillan was taken into custody after turning himself in to state Constable James Cox. Cox said McMillan had been seen in the Bentleyville area over the summer. The constable said he got word out that he was looking for McMillan, and the suspect contacted him.

A confidential informant told an undercover trooper in February 2012 that arrangements could be made to purchase marijuana from McMillan.

Police said the trooper and informant went Feb. 2 to McMillan’s former home at Belvedere Acres in Canton Township, and the trooper saw McMillan weigh the marijuana and then hand over a bag of the drug. He allegedly told the trooper just to toss the $100 for the marijuana on the couch.

Several days later, police said another marijuana purchase was made in a parking lot near Belvedere Acres. On March 20, the trooper said he got a text message from McMillan indicating that he had marijuana for sale. The trooper said he made arrangements to go to McMillan’s home and purchase the drug. Later that month, more marijuana was seized after a search warrant was served at McMillan’s residence, police said.

In November, the trooper and a confidential informant went to McMillan’s residence and allegedly purchased a .38-caliber handgun that had been reported stolen in 1998 from Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County. McMillan reportedly told the trooper that he could get him anything he wanted.

McMillan was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 2 before Mark.
