A Bentleyville man wanted on bench warrants issued through Washington County Common Pleas Court faces more charges after allegedly getting into a scuffle with members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Fugitive Task Force when they tried to take him into custody Thursday.

Christian Hollenbeck, 36, of 14 Lane St., was found working at Giant Eagle in Bentleyville. When the deputies walked in, Hollenbeck spotted them and allegedly ran off, ignoring orders to stop. Police said he ran into the produce section of the store and had to be taken down as he continued to resist arrest.

Deputy Paul Rock Jr. suffered injuries to both arms in the scuffle, according to police.

Hollenbeck was placed in Washington County Jail on the warrants. He was arraigned Friday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on new charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Redlinger set bond at $25,000.
