SCRANTON (AP) – Court records show that a northeastern Pennsylvania man charged with threatening to kill President Barack Obama had a loaded AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, 11,000 rounds of ammunition, a long-range scope and training manuals on long-range shooting.

The Times-Tribune of Scranton reported Saturday that 42-year-old Nicholas Savino also held a permit to carry concealed firearms.

The Lackawanna County sheriff’s office plans to revoke the license and says that’s standard for anyone accused of a crime.

Authorities say Savino sent a threatening email to the White House on Aug. 16. It allegedly called Obama the Antichrist and warned him to stand down or be shot dead. He was taken into custody Aug. 22, a day before Obama visited the Scranton area.

Savino’s lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
