Man acquitted of striking child

WAYNESBURG – A Waynesburg man accused of striking a 4-year-old child was found not guilty Monday by a Greene County court jury.
Albert Anthony Goddard, 55, of 285 ½ E. High St., was charged by Waynesburg police for allegedly striking the child on the face and buttocks on May 20, 2012.
The jury acquitted Goddard of all charges, which included simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment. The one-day trial was before Greene County Judge William Nalitz.
