U.S. Attorney David Hickton of the Western District of Pennsylvania is reminding the public of the “School Corruption Hotline” citizens can call if they suspect illegal misuse of school funds.

Citizens can call the education funds fraud hotline at 412-894-7515 and leave information if they suspect misuse of tax dollars used to support public education.

Hickton said callers should be specific with their information and leave their name, contact information and details of the possible fraud. If appropriate, the information will be shared with the FBI, IRS, federal Department of Education or Inspector General.

Hickton launched the tipline in November 2011 and said dozens of callers have provided information resulting in several investigations.
