JEFFERSON – State police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 4 a.m. Saturday at the BFS Store in Jefferson.

Police said an employee was working the night shift and while sitting outside, two suspects wearing doctor-type masks approached him. One suspect was holding a large knife and the other had pepper spray, police said.

They ordered the employee into the store to get money, which he did, police said. The two suspects then fled west on Route 188 on foot.

One suspect was described as a while male in his early-to-mid-20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, skinny with short hair. The other man was a white male, early-to-mid-20s, 6 feet tall, skinny with short hair. Both were wearing long pants with either hoodies or long sleeve shirts.
