Man shot dead at Pittsburgh-area intersection

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Authorities in Western Pennsylvania say man died after he was shot in the head at a Pittsburgh-area intersection over the weekend.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 36-year-old Qaeed Braxton of Duquesne.

An investigator with the medical examiner’s office said Braxton was shot at an intersection in the borough of Homestead.

He was pronounced dead just after 1 a.m. at UPMC Mercy.

County police are investigating and have not announced the arrests of any suspects.
