HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – The three former Penn State administrators accused of a criminal cover-up of the Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal are asking that prosecutors produce more details about the allegations they face.
Three sets of requests for “bills of particulars” were filed Friday in Dauphin County court by lawyers for Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz.
The three men are awaiting trial on allegations that include perjury and conspiracy. Spanier is the university’s former president, while Curley has retired as athletic director and Schultz has retired as vice president.
The requests seek information that includes exact times, dates and places where crimes are alleged to have occurred, for example.
Prosecutors allege the men covered up abuse allegations involving the former assistant football coach. Sandusky is serving a 30- to 60-year state prison sentence for sexual abuse of 10 boys.
