Traffic restriction on Speers Bridge

PennDOT District 12 would like to advise motorists of a single lane restriction eastbound on Interstate 70 on the Speers Bridge over the Monongahela River. The restriction will occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The eastbound right hand travel lane will be closed just prior to the bridge and traffic will be restricted to the left hand passing lane. Normal two-lane traffic will resume on the Westmoreland County side of the bridge.
The closures will be in place in order to allow crews to repair an area of the bridge under the sidewalk. The contractor performing the work is Allison Park Contracting, at an estimated cost of $5,000.
