Jefferson Baptist Church, 179 Pine St., Jefferson, will hold its monthly support group meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday for friends and relatives of those who suffer from substance abuse of any kind. The meetings are held the second Tuesday in the church basement. At this meeting people can talk to others who are struggling with how to deal with their loved ones who are addicted to alcohol or drugs. The auxiliary board of Southwest Regional Medical Center will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the fourth-floor conference room at the hospital.

Members of Carmichaels Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491, Carmichaels, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. This meeting will include the last nomination for officers. The ladies auxiliary will meet at the same time. Also, the post is planning a cancer benefit from 1 to 4 p.m. May 3. The band, Solid Gold, from Dry Tavern, will perform. Anyone wishing to donate items for the benefit auction may call 724-966-5965.

The Ralph Bell Bird Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at the home of Kathy Kern, 322 Kennel Road, Waynesburg. Dr. Carol Bocetti from California University of Pennsylvania will be the guest speaker.
