Greene County employees will hold a bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday on the steps of the county courthouse. Proceeds benefit the county’s Relay for Life team. Items for sale will include sandwiches, cabbage and noodles, veggie pizza and an assortment of baked goods.
A square dance, also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more, will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Rogersville fire hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Cost is $5 per person or $8 per couple. Food and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event benefits Center Township Volunteer Fire Department. For more information, call 724-499-5385.
First Baptist Church of Clarksville will celebrate Pastor James Cherry’s 11th anniversary during a service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. William Calloway of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Clairton.
A student art exhibition will be held in the Benedum Fine Arts Gallery at Waynesburg University April 22 through May 2. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with an opening reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 22. Admission is free, and the public is invited. The student art exhibition will showcase the best student work of the fall semester. The exhibit will showcase a variety of mediums including ceramics, drawings, prints, sculptures and a variety of two- and three-dimensional pieces.
