West Greene School District will host children’s author Paul Orshoski May 1 and 2.

Orshoski will be at Graysville Elementary School May 1 for two shows at 12:30 and 1:35 p.m. and then he will present a public program at West Greene High School at 7 p.m.

On May 2, he will present a program to the students of Springhill-Freeport Elementary School at 9:30 a.m.

Orshoski is a former teacher, coach and administrator living in Sandusky, Ohio. He has had 12 children’s books published – books designed to make it easy for parents to help their children improve phonics skills and read a decodable story.

He explained each book combines a fun story with simple games and phonics and sight words.

“Whenever possible, I enjoy making kids giggle during school visits by enthusiastically performing my poems in small and large group settings,” he said.
