Fire destroyed a home in the West Pike Run Township village of Daisytown early Monday.

Firefighters were called to the unoccupied home at 551 Pike Run Drive at 2:23 a.m. and found the structure engulfed in flames, Richeyville fire Chief Dave Pohill said.

Crews had to return later Monday morning after some hot spots had rekindled, Pohill said.

The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.

Firefighters from Bentleyville, California, Roscoe and Denbo-Vesta 6 assisted Richeyville at the scene.
