Numerous people appeared recently in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:

Justin Key, 24, 1016 Fallowfied Ave., Charleroi; possession of a controlled substance; charged Oct. 22; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Herbert Parrott, 22, 589 Corey Ave., Braddock; possession with intent to deliver drugs; charged Oct. 11; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail with credit for time served.

Edward X. Marin, 50, 201 Columbia Drive, Canonsburg; resisting arrest; charged Feb. 11; sentence – 24 months of probation.

Justin N. Gessel, 32, 156 Taylor Run Road, Monongahela; receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without insurance; charged July 17 and Sept. 30; sentence – 3 to 23 months on electronic home monitoring, 50 hours of community service, no contact with the victim, restitution, $300 fine and random drug screenings.

Brandynn Brown-Dupree, 28, 231 Davenport Way, Pittsburgh; flight to avoid apprehension, possession of a controlled substance and defiant trespass; charged July 25; sentence – 6 to 23 months on electronic home monitoring.

Robert A. Walker Jr., 37, 332 Glenn Ave., Carnegie; first offense of driving under the influence, criminal mischief and harassment; charged July 9; sentence – 5 days to 5 months in jail, $300 fine, 1-year license suspension and restitution.

Aaron L. Tillman, 35, 255 ½ Locust Ave., Washington; possession with intent to deliver drugs; charged April 8, 2011; sentence – 4 to 8 years in a state prison.

Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:

Mark R. Zabielski, 37, 15 Pearl Drive, Brentwood; conspiracy to commit burglary; charged Aug. 27, 2010; sentence – 5 years of probation, continue with mental health treatment, no contact with the victim and restitution.

Paul J. McGavitt Jr., 25, 611 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi; endangering the welfare of children, terroristic threats and criminal mischief; charged Sept. 30; sentence – 6 to 18 months of probation, no contact with the victim, anger management and restitution.

Zacharia S. Walker, 28, 423 Ketchum Drive, Canonsburg; first offense of DUI; charged Aug. 16; sentence – 6 months of probation and $300 fine.

Brandon S. Dezardo, 31, 828 Crest Ave., Charleroi; forged documents or plates and driving with suspended license; charged Oct. 25; sentence – 6 months of probation and $200 fine.

Appearing before Judge Valarie S. Costanzo were:

George A. Hughes, 64, North Route 88, Charleroi; altered for forged registration, driving an unregistered vehicle, operating a vehicle without insurance and operating a vehicle without inspection; charged Oct. 16; sentence – 12 months of probation and $550 fine.

Shawn Nichols, 22, 115 Giffin Ave., Pittsburgh; possession with intent to deliver drugs and criminal conspiracy; charged Oct. 2; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail.

Thomas C. Papakie, 48, 3230 Millers Run Road, Cecil; possession of a controlled substance; charged May 16, 2012; sentence – 12 months of probation and not to return to The Meadows.

Nicholas J. Marinelli, 31, 174 Locust St., Muse; driving with a suspended license; charged Dec. 8; sentence – 60 days on electronic home monitoring and $500 fine.

Several people were accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their record expunged.

Therese A. Corbett, 42, 601 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was admitted for 6 months for providing false identification to law enforcement and driving with suspended license; charged Aug. 11.

Alicia D. McGraw, 36, 45 Clark St., Clarksville, was admitted for 12 months for theft; also fined $350 and ordered to have no contact with the victim; charged Sept. 26.

Daniel S. Mace, 59, 55 Altamont Ave., Washington, was admitted for 12 months for a first offense of DUI; charged Nov. 3.
