Two teenage girls were assaulted when four other high school-aged girls pushed their way inside a Washington home Sunday night.

Kendra Day, 38, of 49 West Walnut St., reported to city police that four girls assaulted her daughter, a 16-year-old, and her daughter’s friend, a 15-year-old.

Police said the victims named all four suspects, three of whom are under the age of 18. Charges have not yet been filed.

Day told police the girls knocked on her door about 9 p.m. looking for her daughter’s friend. Day told them her daughter’s friend would be leaving soon.

As the girls turned to leave, Day said she heard them talking about assaulting the 15-year-old girl. The girls knocked again and pushed their way inside the apartment when Day opened the door.

Day told police the girls pushed past her and ran into her daughter’s room, kicking down the door. She said the girls punched and kicked the 15-year-old and stomped on her head. Day’s daughter also was punched when she tried to help her friend, according to police reports.

Day said she and her boyfriend tried to intervene but could not stop the assault. The four girls left on foot.

Police said the 15-year-old girl had multiple marks and bruises on her face.
