A Donora woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment after the motorcycle on which she was a passenger was struck by a van Saturday afternoon on East Maiden Street (Route 40) in South Strabane Township. Becky Tesznar, 48, was seated on the motorcycle behind her 59-year-old husband Vincent Tesznar as he drove west on East Maiden about 1:30 p.m. The motorcycle was hit by a van driven by Amanda Burch, 23, of Washington, as she attempted to pull out of Vance Station Road, South Strabane police said. Becky Tesznar was flown from a landing zone at the South Strabane No. 1 Fire Department. Her husband was also injured but it was not clear where he was treated. Burch and a passenger, Jennifer Pobarsky, 20, of Commodore, Indiana County, were taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital. South Strabane firefighters and Washington police assisted at the scene. East Maiden was closed in that area for about 45 minutes while patients were treated and the wreckage removed.
