PennDOT work schedule announced for Greene

WAYNESBURG – Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerome Simkovic announced the following tentative work plan for the week of April 28.
All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
The schedule is as follows:
• Culvert pipe headwall and wing wall reconstruction are planned for Route 1021, Crucible Road.
• Shoulder cutting and grading activities are to begin on Route 2011, Garards Fort Road and on Route 3014, Bluff Ridge Road.
• Bridge footer and scour repairs will be conducted on Route 3001, Aleppo Road/Windy Gap Road and Route 18, Golden Oaks Road/Brown’s Creek Road.
• Major slide repairs will continue on Route 1011 on Havershill Road.
• Crack Sealing will be on going on I-79 south bound between Waynesburg and Kirby.
• Sweeping is slated to start on I-79 from the Washington County line to Mt. Morris, both north and south bounds lanes.
• Patching will continue on Route 21 between Junction Deli and Waynesburg.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
• The State Correctional Institution of Greene’s Community Work Program will conduct roadside litter pick up operations this week on Route 19 south bound from Waynesburg to the West Virginia line. Please drive carefully when encountering this moving operation.
