Two students honored by Lions
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Jacy Shriver and Vincent Morrow were selected by the high school faculty as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for April.
Shriver, daughter of Greg and Jenny Shriver of Waynesburg, maintains a 4.0 grade-point average.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, a three-year letterwinner of varsity cheerleading and has received subject awards and academic excellence awards.
She volunteers as a dance choreographer for various events at the Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene and makes Christmas cards for residents at Golden Living.
Shriver plans to attend Waynesburg University and earn a bachelor of science degree in nursing. From there, she hopes to get a job at Ruby Memorial Hospital as a neonatal nurse.
Morrow, son of Patsy and Cindy Morrow of Waynesburg, maintains a 3.96 grade-point average.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, SADD, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, vice president of the Italian club, a member of the library service club and a section leader in the band.
He is an Eagle Scout, has lettered in track, cross country and volleyball. He received the Joseph Ayersman American History Award, academic achievement awards and the Waynesburg University Stover Scholarship Award.
Morrow plans to attend Waynesburg University and study pre-med and then attend medical school.
