Women’s civic club honors two seniors
CARMICHAELS – McKenzie Bowser and Mia Virgili, seniors at Carmichaels Area High School, were named Girls of the Month for April and May, respectively, by Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club.
Bowser, daughter of Denise Bowser and the late David Bowser, of Carmichaels, is a member of the National Honor Society, has been in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program the last three years, is a member of the school newspaper staff, yearbook staff, student council, SADD and is a library assistant. She also volunteered as an elementary school basketball coach.
Bowser plans to attend Waynesburg University and major in nursing.
Virgili, daughter of Erin and Geno Virgili of Waynesburg, is a member of the National Honor Society, senior standing committee and is treasurer of the senior class. She also is a member of the school’s softball team.
She plans to attend Alderson Broaddus University and enroll in the pre-dental program and then continue on to graduate school to pursue a career in dentistry.
