An Eighty Four man suffered a severe arm injury when he lost control of his vehicle and it overturned early Saturday on Interstate 79 in North Strabane Township, state police said.

Police said Scott Ayers, 43, was flown by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital following the 1:18 a.m. accident on the I-79 north off ramp to Route 519.

Ayers was driving too fast and suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, police said. An update on his condition was not available Saturday afternoon.
