Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.
Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:
Benjamin A. Jenkins, 23, 912 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks; identity theft, criminal trespass and two counts of retail theft, charged May 23; sentence – 2 years of probation, retail theft classes, restitution and banned from Todd’s Beer Distributing, Best Properties and Dollar General.
Justin Schake, 28, 205 N. Main St., Washington; loitering, prowling at night; charged April 21; sentence – 12 months of probation, restitution and no contact with the victim.
Katelyn E. Gogarty, 19, 30 Lynncrest Circle, Cecil; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged April 27; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 6 months and no contact with co-defendants.
Danielle R. Melanson, 20, 102 W. College St., Canonsburg; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Jan. 19; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 90 days.
Stacy J. Long, 34, 50 Sarah St., McDonald; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Feb. 21; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 6 months.
Zachary B. Buday, 28, 422 Wilkins Ave., California; theft; charged March 26; sentence – 2 years of probation.
Camille Brigden, 43, 23 Horseshoe Drive, Roscoe; obstruction of law, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct; charged May 17; sentence – 16 days to 23 months in jail with credit for time served.
Leon L. McClain Jr., 25, 271 Locust Ave., Washington; retail theft; charged April 15; sentence – 12 months of probation, retail theft classes and banned from Wal-Mart.
Adam B. Arena, 35, 718 Locust St., Richeyville; tampering with records and possessing an instrument of crime; charged April 29; sentence – 12 months of probation.
James D. Taylor, 26, 217 Knox Ave., Monessen; two counts of simple assault; charged Nov. 18, 2012; sentence – 20 days to 23 months in jail with credit for time served and restitution.
Paul A. Rusnak, 31, 251 Thompson Ave., Donora; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged March 8; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Kyetheus Monteiro, 53, Atlanta, Ga.; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged April 12; placed in the Probation Without verdict program for 12 months.
Christopher M. Warner, 33, 47 Matthews Road, Belle Vernon; two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; charged March 1; sentence – 18 months of probation.
Diamond Jackson, 20, 207 Fifth St., Charleroi; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged April 23; placed in the Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months.
Aaron R. McDonald, 30, 148 Dicio St., Canonsburg; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged April 4; sentence – 18 months of probation.
Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Ahmed R. Vaden, 33, 380 Donnan Ave., Washington; retail theft; charged Nov. 26; sentence – 23 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program with the first 60 days on electronic home monitoring and banned from CVS.
Tyler A. Gump, 22, 401 Sugar Run Road, Waynesburg; theft and two counts of theft by deception; charged July 24, 2012; sentence – 18 months of probation, 25 hours of community service, restitution and no contact with victim.
Tiffany N. Courtley, 33, 1005 Lower Crest Ave., Charleroi; burglary, theft, forgery and receiving stolen property; charged May 26; sentence – 3 to 23 months in jail with credit for time served, 3 years of probation, restitution and no contact with victim.
Appearing before Judge Valarie Costanzo were:
Brian L. Osterhout, 29, 421 Novak Lane, Charleroi; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Dec. 2; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Shari L. Populo, 28, 2 Maple St., Muse; first offense of driving under the influence and providing false identification; charged Nov. 4; sentence – 10 days to 6 months in jail, 10 days of electronic home monitoring, 12 months of probation, $1,000 fine and 12-month driver’s license suspension.
One person was admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first offenders for driving under the influence of alcohol. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their records expunged. Admitted was:
