Group planning retirees breakfast
WAYNESBURG – The executive committee of the Greene County Association of School Retirees met recently and finalized plans for the group’s annual new retirees breakfast.
Invitation letters were sent out to this year’s retirees in all five of the county’s school districts. Regular membership is open to administrators, aides, cafeteria workers, nurses, secretaries, teachers and others employed by the districts. By attending this event, it is hoped that those present will learn enough about the goals and activities of GCASR and they will be excited to join.
The breakfast will take place at Westmoreland County Community College’s Greene County Educational Center at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 4 and will be open to those in the county who are 50 or older and are interested in promoting the work of the organization as an associate member.
