The 11th series of Community Builders of Greene County will begin Aug. 25.

The eight-session program will meet on alternating Mondays through Dec. 16 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Community Foundation office/meeting room at 106 E. High Street, Waynesburg. Applications are available at http://cfgcpa.org/commbuilders.html.

Community Builders provides training for nonprofit board volunteers and employees. Nonprofit leadership program explores leadership, governance and boards of directors, financial management, communication, teamwork, strategic planning, public relations, grant writing, fundraising and volunteer engagement.

Registration is $150 with a limited number of partial scholarships available.

Penn State Extension Master Gardener Program is accepting applications for the 2014/2015 Penn State Master Gardener program through September.

This program consists of a volunteer training course designed to provide experienced home gardeners with information and skills necessary to share their experience and knowledge with others. There is a fee to cover the cost of training materials and expenses.
