LOS ANGELES (AP) – A longtime Los Angeles music agent who represented such artists as Whitney Houston, the Eagles, Tom Petty and Journey died.
The William Morris Agency said its global head of music, Peter Grosslight, died Thursday of pancreatic cancer. He was 68.
Grosslight worked at William Morris since 1992, when the agency acquired the company he had founded 20 years earlier. He specialized in international bookings of contemporary artists and worked with Joan Baez, Carly Simon, Luis Miguel and Brian Setzer, among others.
William Morris chiefs Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell said Grosslight expanded the agency’s international operations, and they called him a “valuable mentor.”
The Los Angeles native is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and their two children.
