A Washington man was arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with entering a man’s car in Washington last week and robbing him at knifepoint of $190, court records state.

Samuel M. Wheeler, 55, of 235 W. Chestnut St., also was charged with kidnapping, making terroristic threats and simple assault in the Aug. 18 robbery that began about 8:40 a.m. at Walnut and Franklin streets, police said.

Wheeler was accused of entering Stanley McCloskey’s vehicle and ordering the victim to drive him to Henderson Avenue and the 100 block of Church Street.

Wheeler was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
