Cumberland Township supervisors will hold a public hearing Monday, immediately following their regularly scheduled monthly meeting, to receive comments on the proposed use of the township’s 2014 Community Development Block Grant program money.
The supervisors’ meeting is at 3 p.m. and held in the municipal building at 100 Municipal Road. The township’s available CDBG allocation is $102,672, all of which will be used to benefit low- and moderate-income residents.
The proposed use of the money will be to continue the townshipwide housing rehabilitation program. The grant funds will cover the rehabilitation and delivery costs of eligible owner-occupied housing units, outside the 100-year flood hazard area, in the village of Nemacolin.
The public is invited to comments on the proposed application at the hearing. The application will be available for public inspection at the township building.
Anyone interested in inspecting the application is asked to call the township at 724-966-5805 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to arrange for an appointment.
Special accommodations for people with disabilities who wish to attend the hearing or special meeting can be requested by calling 724-966-5805. The township building is accessible to persons with disabilities.
