Drug charge: Kristina Rochelle Metz, 26, whose last known address was in Muse, was charged Tuesday by North Franklin police with possession of a controlled substance after she allegedly was found with suspected oxycodone during an Oct. 18 traffic stop. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Two charged: Angela Marie McKinley, 37, of 127 McKean Ave., Donora, and Joshua Kalcevic, 38, of 720 Hamilton Ave., Belle Vernon, were charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with the theft of items valued at $2,838 from Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, Thanksgiving night. Both also had suspected drugs with them, police said. She reportedly had suspected Suboxone. Police said he had suspected Suboxone and Alprazolam, as well as paraphernalia. Both were charged with retail theft, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance. He also was charged with possession of paraphernalia. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Medication stolen: Charles Loughman of Washington told South Strabane police Tuesday that his prescription medication was stolen from his car Nov. 21 while the vehicle was parked in the lot at Wal-Mart, Trinity Point. Police said he had no explanation for the delay in reporting the theft.

Wallet stolen: South Strabane police are looking for a woman who stole the wallet dropped by an Ellsworth woman last month in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, Trinity Point. Surveillance video shows the victim dropping her wallet just after leaving the store Nov. 21. A heavy-set white woman driving a Ford F250 or F350 with a long bed and ladder racks is seen parking in a handicapped spot. She then walks over, picks up the wallet and enters the store. The woman, believed to be 40 to 50 years old, used cash from the wallet to make a purchase, police said.

One injured: Mary V. Kotula, 81, of Mingo Circle Drive, Union, was injured about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday when her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Timothy J. Donahoe, Airport Road, Union, at the intersection of Route 88 and Mingo Church Road. Southwest Regional police said she was taken to Jefferson Hospital. Police were assisted at the scene by firefighters from Finleyville and Elrama.

Burglary, theft charges: William Scott Lint, 40, who has no known address, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant obtained by state police on charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. He is accused of entering a home at 304 Main St., West Brownsville Oct. 23 and stealing a 40-inch television and Xbox gaming system. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
