Salary board hires replacement for retiring assessor

WAYNESBURG – Greene County Salary Board Thursday promoted Mary Ann Lewis as chief assessor of the county, replacing John Frazier, who is retiring early next year after nearly 18 years with the county.
Lewis will be paid $46,651 per year.
In matters related to the court, the board hired Pamela Mason at $14.04 per hour as a court recorder/transcriptonist; Lori Paletta Davis and Ryan Armstrong as conference/mediation custody officers at $46,000 per year inclusive of a six-month performance probationary period; and accepted the resignations of Catherine Joann Todd and Ella Mitchell, tip staffs.
The board also approved the transfer of Linda Chambers from first assistant district attorney to casual assistant district attorney at $57 per hour to work as needed on continued litigation of prior cases.
District Justice Glenn Bates received a full-time magisterial assistant in Sandra Tarasi, who will be paid $13.92 per hour.
Relative to human services, the board hired Ashley Bishop at $12 per hour as a part-time wraparound youth support partner; Lisa Arnold-Milan was a wraparound coach/supervisor at $33,991 per year; and Brenda Saver as a wraparound parent/family support partner at $12 an hour.
Wraparound services are provided to primarily middle-school-aged children who have come under the supervisor of the juvenile probation office.
